Emma grew up in England but as a child would escape for warmer temperatures with her family to the Canary Island just off the coast of Africa. Steeped in Spanish history here is where she fell in love with Spanish architecture and rustic Finca's (Spanish farm houses) and Canary Island Palms, Phoenix canariensis. Decades later Emma married Tom an Australian and when they took a sabbatical to Spain and explored they declared that someday they would build their own Finca. In 2017 they discovered 120 acres on the hinterland of Bryon Bay, close to where Tom had grown up spending time on the family farm. Armed with a vision and holiday romanticism they created a perfect fusion of an Australian farmhouse with Spanish influences.
